The Lay-Htat Wut or shrine

This is a new shrine built upon the rubble of another shrine which used to function as an ordination hall. The main Buddha-image there had been fashioned in the likeness of the one in Kyaikmarrow town. There are no decorative frills nor are there any tiered 'Pyathat' structures to the building so that it looks more like a brick residential building than a shrine. Perhaps the building goes to highlight the trend towards architectural diversity found in this pagoda compound.

Condition of the shrine

The shrine is in good condition.

The Thi-Hoe Wut ( Ceylon shrine )

This minor shrine was built several decades ago by Daw Sein Yee of Kawhnat village. It was destroyed by fire in 1949 and had since been rebuilt.

The Lay-htat-paya shrine which was constructed lately on the site of an old shrine.

The sitting Buddha mode in the likeness of the one at Kyaikmarrow town.

Other image in the shrine.
