The Sutaungpyi ( prayer fulfilled ) Pagoda

This pagoda was built by Mi Byu, U Nar Auk's third wife. The story has it that Mi Byu in her poorer days as a farmer used to pray at the site where there were four small buddha images. She had resolved then that she would build a pagoda there if she would be delivered from her poverty. Her wishes came true subsequently as she became the wife of U Nar Auk. As promised, she built a pagoda there which she named Su-taung-pyi pagoda. The pagoda is still known by that name.

Condition of the pagoda

- The pagoda had been recently renovated and is in good condition.

The Sutaungpyi Wut or Shrine

This small and simple shrine was built by U Nar Auk and contains some paintings of village activities. There is also a larger painting depicting some of the religious structures built by U Nar Auk. The shrine also provides a sheltered place from which one can worship the pagoda.
