Statue of U Nar Auk

This statue of the main builder of the shrines and monasteries in this compound is a life-sized marble one placed on a high pedestal on the east of the Theingyi building. Notwitstanding the many imposing buildings surrounding it, the statue still is an important landmark within the Kawhnat Pagoda compound. The statue itself is under an octagonal roof supported by four pillers. It is now enclosed in a glass-box enclosure. At the front part of the pedestal is a stone inscription detailing facts about his life.

Condition of the statue
-The statue proper is fairly well preserved. There is however some damage to the roof, and one of the enclosure glass sheets is broken.
