BIRD WATCHING IN HLAWGA, MOYINGYI AND SEINYEE IN LOWER MYANMAR (6
DAYS/5 NIGHTS)
Yangon - Bago ( Moyingyi ) -Taungoo Teak forest - Yangon

DAY 01: ARRIVAL YANGON - MOYINGYI
Arrive at the Yangon airport and drive to Moyingyi. Moeyungyi
sanctuary (a vast area of wet land) situated approximately 110 km north
to Yangon. Spending the late afternoon birding along the shores of the
wet land, looking out for birds like Blue throat, Thick-billed warbler,
Wagtails, Pipits, Golden Plovers, Harriers and Kites. Overnight and
dinner at the resort in the sanctuary.
DAY 02: MOYINGYI - SEINYEE
Moyingyi sanctuary With an early boat ride in the sanctuary, looking
for Greater spotted Eagle, Woolly necked Stork, Asian Openbill, Sarus
Crane, Spot-billed Pelican, Painted Stork, among thousands of waders and
shorebirds. This sanctuary is approximately 40 square miles in area and
inhabits about 80 species of birds. Spending the whole morning birding
in the sanctuary and after a late lunch, drive to Taungoo ( Sein Yee
Teak Forest ) O/N in Seinyee.
DAY 03: SEINYEE
Early morning birding in sein-ye reserved teak forest and after lunch
sightseeing and nature study ( trekking into rain forest), watching
Butterflies in the teak forest and whole day observing elephants at work
in the forest. In the evening watching elephants bathing in the creek.
DAY 04: Whole day observing elephants at work.
DAY 05: SEINYEE - HLAWGA
Drive back to Yangon and stop over at Hlawga wildlife park, where the
specialties are Pale-capped Pigeon, Racket-tailed Treepie, Ruby-cheeked
Sunbird, Scarlet- backed Flower pecker, Striped- throated Bulbul with
white eye and Olive-backed Sunbird. After Birding, return to Yangon in
the evening. Dinner and O/N in Yangon.
DAY 06: DEPARTURE DAY
Shopping to Bogyoke market and transfer for international flight
departure.
