MEDITATION TOUR (2)
(YANGON - BAGO - YANGON - CENTRE)
DAY 01: Yangon
On arrival at Yangon International Airport, you are welcomed and
transferred to the hotel by our local guide. Evening visit to explore
"The Shwedagon Pagoda" which is one of the world most famous religious
monuments on earth. Overnight in Yangon.
DAY 02: Yangon - Bago
After breakfast continue your visit to Bago (about 80km from Yangon)
for exploring for "The Shwemawdaw Pagoda" is said to be over 1000 years
old and was originally build by The Mon. "The Shwe Tha Lyaung" is a huge
reclining Buddha. Measuring (55m) long and (16m) high built in 994 AD.
"Maha Kalyana Sima" (Sacred Hall of Ordination) was constructed in 1476
by King Dhamamazedi. "Mahazedi Pagoda" (Great Stupa) constructed in 1560
AD by King Bayinnaung. Kyaik Pun Buddha (it consist of four 30m-high
sitting Buddhas placed back-to-back around a huge, square pillar in 1476
by King Dhammazedi. And other attraction place is one of the three
largest monasteries, Kya Khat Wain Kyaung. Then return to Yangon.
Day 03: Meditation Centre (Yangon)
After breakfast, transfer to Meditation Centre for the study and
practice of "Satipatthana Vipassana" or insight awareness Meditation,
based on instructions in "The Maha Satipatthana Sutta" of the Theravada
Buddhist canon. The centre sponsors at least 10 days residential courses
without any expectation of payment, but acknowledges those contributions
in case offered in a spontaneous way by the students towards the running
of the courses. If you want to practice more than one month or longer
period, you must obtain a meditation VISA before coming to Myanmar. This
require a sponsorship letter from the centre so you need to inform us
about 4-5 days before your arrival.
DAY (Post-1): Yangon - Departure
At the end of the training period, transfer to the hotel and
sightseeing of the capital and enjoy your day at leisure until you
transfer to Airport for departure.
